Etienne DUSABEYEZU is a Partner in the law firm. He has wide experience of over 19 years in legal advisory and legal matters in both private and public institutions at managerial positions. He worked as Legal manager for KCB Bank Rwanda (currently BPR Bank Rwanda) and Head of Legal Services and Company Secretary of NCBA Bank Rwanda PLC (formally Crane Bank Rwanda) over last 9 years, handling the bank legal matters, litigation management, contract drafting/ management, corporate governance, handling complex bad debt recoveries, contracts and transactions. He is also Visiting Lecturer at Kigali Independent University (ULK) since 2013. He worked over 11 years for National Service of Gacaca Courts, traditional and transitional justice dealing with legacies of 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda, Government institution under the Ministry of Justice. He shifted to National Service of Gacaca Courts after judicial reform as Coordinator of Gacaca documentation and legal advisor at National Level. Etienne has received a certificate of merit from the Government of Rwanda for the sacrifice and patriotism shown in the accomplishment of his duties as one of the senior staff of National Service of Gacaca Courts. Etienne holds a Master’s Degree from University of the Western Cape-Cape Town/South Africa. He has received a certificate from Humboldt University –Berlin /Germany in Transnational and International Economic crimes (International anti-corruption Law and International Anti- Money Laundering Law). He has a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Institute of Legal Practice and Development (ILPD), and a certificate of Mediation Advocacy from USA Edwards Mediation Academy.
