The changes introduced by the newly published 2022 law establishing taxes on income in Rwanda

On 28th October 2022, Rwanda published the new law on Income tax. It was published in the Official Gazette nº Special of 28/10/2022. This law repealed the law nº 016/2018 of 13/04/2018 establishing taxes on income which was in force since 2018 and the Law nº 29/2012 of 27/07/2012 establishing tax on gaming activities which was in force since 2012.

This article demonstrates the significant changes introduced by the newly published law nº 027/2022 of 20/10/2022 establishing taxes on income in comparison with the laws that were repealed.
